Books are going out this week!

An adventurer runs through a marketplace with a stolen box, leaving chaos and angry vendors in her wake.
Time to make off with yer loot

The long-awaited day is at hand—Plus One Exp is shipping orders! They tell me most rewards will go out to backers by the end of the week.

To help get the last orders out, I’m heading to Philadelphia on the 18th and 19th, this coming Saturday and Sunday.

That also gives me a chance to meet up with Jeff Stormer for Gritty Game Days! It’s an event with Jeff and Tony Vasinda at a coffee shop in town. If you'll be in the Philly area too, let me know! I'd love to sign your book and hand it to you.

If you're in the Columbus area, your reward should be ready to pick up by the 22nd.  I'll email you when you can come get it at Tabletop Game Cafe.

If we’re shipping your reward to you, watch for a notification in your email inbox! It will probably come this week, if you haven’t gotten it already.

Books are at the warehouse
21 days ago – Wed, Mar 25, 2026 at 06:26:56 AM

On Monday, the books arrived at Plus One Exp's warehouse in Philadelphia—a day early! All 95 cartons are safe and sound.

Plus One Exp is out at PAX East this week. Next week, they'll get ready to pack up rewards. Because we want every package to get to its destination, testing and building out the fulfillment process will take several weeks. The timeline hasn't changed: we hope to get books to backers in late April or early May.

Regardless, I can't tell you how relieved I am to see these boxes in the warehouse. With the books safely across the Pacific and North America, a huge chunk of risk is behind us. I'm glad I partnered with Regent Printers—they were efficient and complication-free throughout. 10/10, worth the price.

The weekend of April 18th, I'll drive to Philly to meet the packers, sign books for top-tier backers, and load up a bunch of books to bring back for Origins in June. I'll be sure to update you between now and then!

Best,
Chrys

Books are sailing
about 1 month ago – Fri, Mar 06, 2026 at 03:06:17 PM

Hi!

February zoomed by, and I'm late in updating you. But it's all good news.

The books left Hong Kong harbor before Chinese New Year descended. They're due to arrive in Philadelphia on March 24th. Then there will be several weeks for Plus One Exp, who are handling fulfillment, to sort through them and send out everyone's rewards. But it's all on track.

By now, everyone who pledged for or preordered a PDF should have gotten it. Please let me know if you haven't!

I'm setting up at-cost POD copies on DriveThru. Since they're paperbacks, I'm making the cover look like a dog-eared pulp book. Check it out:

I just got back from GAMA Expo, where Cole and I showed off the advance copies to retailers. We got lots of preorders! They'll go out after we ship rewards to backers.

We're also working on a prototype of the new Raccoon Sky Pirates: Total Chaos Edition! We want to launch a Kickstarter for that later in the spring, but it'll depend on how fast we can finalize the art. Stay tuned!

Best,
Chrys

Advance copies have arrived!

In Hong Kong, the books are rolling off the presses, and people are loading them onto pallets, destined for a container ship to carry them across the Pacific. Meanwhile, I just got four advance copies via FedEx. It's thrilling to hold the complete book in my hands. Soon, you'll get to hold them too! Here's just a teaser ... come May, we'll send the books to backers, then release them for general sale!

Jaqueline Florencio's cover for the standard edition, showing three adventurers fighting a god made of stone
Katrin Dirim's art for the first part, showing four gods in their might
Shan Bennion's art for chapter 1, showing two adventurers stepping onto a roof overlooking the city
Thalie Shelen's art for the second part, showing a battle with a goddess in a temple
Shan Bennion's art for chapter 2, showing two adventurers about to kiss
Amita Sevellaraja's art for chapter 3, showing a thief running across a marketplace
Thalie's art for the special edition's cover, showing two embracing adventurers wrapped in gold foil
